    Duties/Responsibilities Duties/Responsibilities The student ambassador will work on a team of other students and staff members to help facilitate Auxiliary Services efforts at New Student Orientation and other events during the summer by:

    initiating discussions and answering questions with new students and their families about Auxiliary Services, assisting in the preparation of activities and materials, explaining how Auxiliary programs operate on campus, and introducing new students to Auxiliary Services locations and amenities.

    Percentage of time 100 Position Details Position Information Classification Title Temporary Technical Paraprofessional FLSA Non-Exempt UGA Job Code FTE 0.47 Minimum Qualifications Position Summary Auxiliary Services Summer Ambassadors will gain marketing, communications, and sales experience as they convey information about Auxiliarys services and programs to incoming students and their families and New Student Orientation and other events throughout the summer.

    Ambassadors will help educate visitors about the Bookstore, Dining Services, UGA Golf Course, and Transportation &Parking Services.

    Student Ambassadors will also assist with all Orientation events such as the Resource Fair, tabling at Orientation Breakfast, Lunch and/or Dinner, Snack Break, Break-Out Sessions, etc.

    They will help incoming students navigate life on campus and the resources available to them.

    Student Ambassadors will also help with social media, virtual events / tours, Engagement Fairs, webinars, videos, and some digital communications as needed.

    Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position Knowledge of Auxiliary Services Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Customer ServicePublic Speaking or comfortable speaking with other peopleSocial Media Content Experience Physical Demands Lift, bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch, and kneel; lifting at least 25 pounds.
