The municipality of Alfter is currently seeking a full-time employee for the Department 1.5 Building Yard & Green Spaces in Davidson, OK.

Gardener (m/f/d)
Compensation will be based on pay group 6 of the TVöD.

You will work as part of a team of gardeners and will be responsible for the maintenance and care of green spaces.

Your tasks will include:

Planting, mowing lawns, trimming hedges, weeding, pruning, and watering plants
Tree care and felling
Maintenance of roadside greenery (using a brush cutter)
Landscaping work
Assisting with maintenance of daycare and school facilities, as well as playgrounds and outdoor sports facilities
Street cleaning and leaf sweeping
Maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs of machinery and equipment
Participation in municipal snow and winter services
Assisting with event preparation and cleanup

Requirements:

Completed training as a gardener, landscape gardener, or in a comparable field with a minimum duration of 3 years
Physical fitness for the tasks mentioned above
Possession of a class C (E) driver's license
Expertise and solid practical knowledge in the abovementioned tasks, as well as knowledge of loading and construction site safety
Ideally, experience with the following technical equipment: rideon lawn mowers, wheel loaders, excavators, forklifts, compact
