Marketing & Graphic Design Manager:


Headquartered in Coventry Rhode Island, Seaside Casual Furniture manufactures outdoor furniture out of EnviroWood, an all-weather, low-maintenance, eco-friendly material made from recycled bottles and jugs.

As a division of a family-owned and operated business for over 100 years, Seaside Casual has been leading the casual furniture industry with its award-winning design and manufacturing since 1996.


PURPOSE:

The Marketing and Graphic Design Manager serves as the gatekeeper of Seaside Casual's brand and positioning globally.

This individual is responsible for building out the strategic marketing plan along with the development, coordination, implementation, and execution of all marketing activities across all channels.

The Marketing and Graphic Design Manager works collaboratively with the Executive Team, Sales, Operations, Administration, and Design to develop effective marketing programs designed to create brand awareness, customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty to ensure coordination and mutual effectiveness of all marketing efforts.

This individual must also be able to operate in a start-up environment with the ability and desire to not only drive high-level strategy but also get in the weeds to drive results.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Develop a coherent marketing communications plan that ensures consistent, accurate messaging is communicated across all media and channels, which supports the business objectives of each market segment globally.
  • Able to take graphic design projects from concept to final output (Print, Web, Social). Experience with Adobe Creative Suite required.
  • Manage and coordinate annual catalog and price list production ranging from photoshoots through to product information (pricing, specs, branding, and descriptions). Manage external production elements (graphic design, printing) from start to finish.
  • Work with Sales and Customer Service to manage and update Customer Database and assist and lead in the development of new sales tools and markets.
  • Collaborate with Design and Sales Team to support marketing mix objectives around Product, Promotion, Place, and Price.
  • Manage digital assets and lead the development of marketing materials and content for all marketing channels including print, digital, multimedia, and the external website.
  • Create advertising strategy and develop campaigns and coordinate with internal and external creative agency resources to execute the plan effectively, and consistently.
  • Lead the execution of tradeshows and industry or clientbased events, including booth layout, design, logistics, and setup.
  • Measure the success of communication activities against defined benchmarks and report on the performance.
  • Establish a strong social presence to drive the rapid growth of followers that also exhibit a high level of engagement with the brand.
  • Develop an annual marketing budget and prioritize spending to support content creation and channel needs.

  • Plan, delegate, and control work assignments
  • Review salaries/wages of others and recommend changes as appropriate.

  • Conduct performance reviews.
  • Establish a departmental budget and have sole accountability for the results as measured against the budget.
  • Have manageriallevel responsibilities for a clearly identifiable program/department.

  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, HTML/CSS, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator. Familiarity with WordPress helpful.
  • Experience with KeyShot, Solidworks and/or SketchUp is a plus.
