    Job Title: Engineer
    Employment Type: Contract
    Work Hours: 40+hrs./week
    Work site: 100% Onsite
    Location: 4 Irving Place, New York, NY 10003
    Salary : $65-$75/hr
    Contract Length: 3 years

    Job Description:
    The qualified candidate will play a pivotal role in a major project involving the construction of a new substation. They will be fully responsible for overseeing relay protection associated with the new station buildout.

    Department: Relay Protection, Metering and Security Engineering

    Responsibilities:
    • Perform detailed fault studies in CAPE and use results to perform settings calculations.
    • Perform associated coordination studies, loadability studies, etc. as necessary.
    • Develop setting files for protective relays including all associated documentation.
    • Review, mark up, provide guidance to design engineering regarding project drawings.
    • Provide oversight to protection and controls integration vendor including reviewing deliverables for accuracy.
    • ssist in off-site and on-site acceptance testing of the system.
    • Check installation design for regulatory compliance and present to regulators as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
    • t least 4 years of experience performing fault studies and setting protective relays at the transmission level.
    • Experience with CAPE software for fault studies and settings calculations.
    • Strong understanding of coordination studies, loadability studies, and protective relay settings.
    • Experience with IEC61850 standards.
