- Develop detailed specifications for Starbucks packaging
- Apply engineering principles to guide packaging projects from concept validation to actualization, ensuring functionality and quality
- Tackle challenges, prototype, test, and acquire new insights
- Collaborate closely with various teams including Project Managers, Sourcing, Product, Quality, and NPI to align solutions with business objectives
- Engage with packaging suppliers to refine concepts and validate performance compliance
- Create assessment strategies and collaborate with engineering support and external labs for comprehensive evaluation and documentation
- Thoroughly document test outcomes and achieve necessary stage gate approvals
- Undergraduate or advanced degrees in Packaging, Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a technical capacity, particularly in product development or packaging
- A proactive mindset towards experimentation, testing, and continuous learning within a dynamic environment
- A high level of inquisitiveness to gather insights from store partners, customers, and internal teams
- Demonstrated expertise in drafting test protocols
- Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences through various mediums
- Familiarity with statistical analysis, testing methodologies, and proficiency in computer-aided design tools is a valuable asset
