The start date for this position has shifted to Q3 Consulting LLC is seeking to add a Firewall Administrator to our team in the Washington DC area (not downtown).
We're looking for a methodical, security-minded individual who is passionate about crafting filtering paradigms and rulesets that maximize security while enabling required application functionality.
Clearance:
TS.
SCI will ultimately be required Responsibilities:
Create, modify, troubleshoot firewall rule sets and related filtering solutions
Work with key stakeholders to identify application requirements and necessary security changes
Maintain and optimize current solutions, supporting existing customers
Perform capacity planning and escalations support
Analyze the current environment and provide proficient security solutions and best in class firewall/IPS/Anti-virus (AV)/VPN, spam and web filtering solutions that align to meet the organization's requirements.
Analyze security requirements and contribute to the design, integration, and installation of firewall hardware and softwareMonitor trends and recommend future firewall architecture strategies and roadmaps
Assist with the planning, design, implementation, securing and monitoring of firewalls in a broad network infrastructure across multiple organizations agencies with a variety of requirements
Requirements:
U.S. citizenship
6 years' relevant experience
Willingness to commute to Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB)
Relevant professional-level certification (e.g. - CCNP Security, CISSP, PCNSA)
Expertise in packet level analysis Desired Additional Qualifications:
Experience with Palo Alto and Cisco
Experience with scripting:
