In this current school year, we are offering after school classes at Laurel, Encinal and Oak Knoll Elementary School.

After School Teacher


Responsibilities:

• Must be available to work Monday from 2:20 4:20pm, Tuesdays from 2:304:00pm, Wednesday from 2:304:00pm, Thursdays from 1:002:30pm and Friday from 2:20 4:20pm. (Closed on school holidays and during the winter and summer break while school is not in session)
• Classroom management and create a positive, inclusive learning environment for students
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to discuss student progress
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional materials
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom/workspace

Experience:

• Experience working with children in a tutoring, daycare, or physical education setting
• Knowledge of teaching best practices and willingness to follow the school's policies and procedures
• Knowledge of Arts and Crafts, Jewelry Making and Calligraphy and Brush Painting (preferred)
• Knowledge of child welfare and development principles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dedicated work ethic; proactive, responsible, and reliable
• Wellorganized and committed
• Ability to be adaptable and successfully multitask
• Effective in developing confidence and motivation in children
