THE ORGANIZATION
JOB SUMMARY
Riis Settlement is seeking a Data Associate.
This position reports to the Director of Impact, Measurement, and Innovation (DIMI), and will play a crucial role in supporting the DIMI by completing surveys and reviews, conducting both qualitative and quantitative research, generating reports, and monitoring data to document program and agency successes, highlights, and areas for improvement.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Major Duties and Responsibilities_.
- Gather, organize, arrange, and validate data for accuracy, eliminating duplications and ensuring completeness prior to input.
- Conduct data entry, updates, and maintenance of agency information.
- Collaborate with DIMI to improve programming through effective data reporting.
- Contribute in managing, updating and maintaining databases designed for tracking information.
- Support data collection and research efforts as required.
- Examine source documents and accurately input data into designated fields.
- Produce reports and summaries for analysis and review.
- Execute data integrity tasks, identifying and rectifying data entry errors or reporting them.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
STATEMENT OF SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES
- High school diploma/GED required with a minimum of 2 years experience or Associates degree required with a minimum of 1 year experience in research, data entry, or database management.
- Past experience with research, mixed methods data preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google sheets and database management.
- Knowledge of google scholar and/or other open source academic resource repositories.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff
- Must have excellent organizational, time management, and followup skills
