Nestled in the heart of suburban New Jersey, a mere 12 miles from the vibrant pulse of Philadelphia, Saddlehill sits as an oasis spanning over 70 acres of vineyards and preserved farmland.
Saddlehill is set to become a distinguished destination with a 175-seat indoor farm-to-table kitchen and tasting room and acres of outdoor seating to enjoy the spectacular views and serenity.
Opening soon 6 days a week, our establishment serves menu items crafted primarily from farm-produced ingredients.As part of our retail offerings, we will sell our estate-crafted wines and a variety of foods made from ingredients grown on-site, including jams, sauces, spreads, and honey.
We strive to make the tasting room a beautiful place for our customers to unwind and enjoy world-class wine and food pairings.
Tasting Room Floor Supervisor
We are actively looking for an enthusiastic & motivated Tasting Room Floor Supervisor with a passion for food & wine, who can support the General Manager and the Assistant Manager with the day-to-day operations and can lead all aspects of the shifts at Saddlehill Cellars.
Essential Job Functions include:
- Ensures that all service standards are being followed to provide the best customer experience
- Ensures staff is following correct steps of service and service procedures at any given time
- Assists hostesses with seating and controls flow of customer to ensure smooth service
- Is able to motivate and lead front of the house staff to ensure a positive guest experience
- Assists and supports service staff on the floor as needed
- Prepares daily floor plan and assigns server stations
- Ensures frontofthehouse shifts are covered according to business, and adjusts as needed
- Communicates with the kitchen staff throughout service effectively to ensure food is delivered in a timely manner and relates other important guest notes to Chef
- Able to interact with our guests in a positive and passionate way through table touching and can make comfortably wine & food pairing suggestions
- Ensures staff is aware of new procedures, new merchandise, specials, events & more.
- Assists with all front of the house training including cross training staff to ensure service runs without issues
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of previous supervisory role/ team leader in a casual dining/ winery environment preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English
- Able to stand, walk for longer periods of time
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to create a positive and engaging environment for guests.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with guests
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be available Saturdays and Sundays.
- A passion for the hospitality industry and a genuine desire to provide an outstanding dining experience
