    Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer.     Responsibilities You will respond to and investigate complaints while interpreting and enforcing state and federal laws, the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), DoD and Navy regulations, and installation directives, rules and regulations.

    You will respond to intrusion detection system (IDS) alarms, emergency calls, complaints, and other calls for service while on duty.

    You will possess authority to apprehend personnel, both combative and non-combative members of the public.

    You will perform a full range of force protection, anti-terrorism and sentry duties at installations or activities with significant operational assets, unrestricted access points, large populations onboard and around the installation/activity.

    You will act as the Incident Commander (IC) for significant and catastrophic events as required. You will gather and disseminate incident intelligence, coordinate response assets, develop and execute initial course of action. You will perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For GS-07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

    Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing investigations regarding unusual situations and/or violations of the law; 2) Conducting checkpoints/roadblocks at various locations to reduce criminal activity; 3) Inspecting packages/personal belongings when admitting personnel into controlled areas; and 4) Responding to emergency calls for service while adhering to state and federal laws

    Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.

    This announcement uses the Shortage Category/Critical Need for Police Officer Positions direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.

    Several vacancies may be filled. A relocation incentive may be authorized. Relocation incentives as described in 5 USC 5753 may be authorized in accordance with applicable regulations. PCS is not authorized. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.

    A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee.

    A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.

    This position is subject to shift work. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Completion of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program is a condition of continued employment. Employee will be required to sign a continuing service agreement prior to travel to the academy. Agreement to Continue in Service
    • CSA, Agency requires 36 month of continued employment after the completion of required training from the FLETC in accordance with Title 5 USC 4108 and 5 CFR Failure to voluntary complete length of employment requirement can subject employee to reimburse to the agency for fees, such as tuition and related fees, travel, and other special expenses (excluding salary) paid in connection with the training.
