Job Summary:
As the Inventory Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing various aspects of inventory, including consumables, chemicals, samples, and more.
Your responsibilities will encompass inventory control, processing requests for inventory movement, fulfilling customer metric reporting, and providing exceptional customer service.
Additionally, you may be involved in purchasing functions and shipping coordination activities, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety protocols.
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory, including monitoring slowmoving and dead inventory, conducting cycle counting, and performing yearly physical inventories.
- Provide daily customer service functions, communicate with customers regarding inventory management, and address their inquiries and concerns.
- Perform purchasing functions, such as back order reporting, expediting, and managing quotes, while resolving open invoices or pricing issues.
- Coordinate shipping activities, handle routine issues, operate basic warehouse equipment, and prepare shipping documentation for hazardous materials.
- Interface directly with customer contacts, purchasing directors, facility directors, and plant managers to address inventoryrelated matters.
- Manage consigned, nonconsigned, customerowned, or thirdparty inventory using various computer systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety, performance, and quality goals and objectives.
- Develop programs for enhanced service efficiencies and document change management processes.
- Facilitate desktop delivery of inbound packages to customer contacts and update/maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service.
- Spill containment training, IATA, DOT, IMDG, and OSHA Right to Know certifications are a plus.
- Crossreferencing and inside sales experience are advantageous.
- Knowledge of scientific products and services is beneficial.

Pay:
$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:
- Inventory management: 2 years (preferred)
- SAP: 1 year (preferred)
