ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Non-rotating 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Must be available to work additional hours as needed and On-Call as needed.

Responsibilities

Fundamental responsibilities include maintain, monitor and assist in developing current and future Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) infra-structures, including the central Traffic Management Center (TMC), Adaptive and Traffic Responsive Control Technologies.

Performs complex duties to design, install, upgrade, repair, troubleshoot traffic signal hardware.

Respond to system trouble calls throughout the ITS computer system to determine the cause of and to correct any issue.

Determine ITS computer hardware as it relates to networking and computer needs and assist Traffic Signal Technicians on installing traffic signal and other ITS equipment.

Provide technical hardware support to personal computer users, communications staff and other ITS system users. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Position requires an Associate's Degree or 2 year technical certificate with four (4) years of directly related experience. Require International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Traffic Signal Level I & II. A combination of education, training and pertinent experience may be considered. A valid driver's license is required.

Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.
