    Job Description

    The Project Manager - Construction will be responsible for all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires a thorough understanding of cost analysis, material management, project coordination, and quality control. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Proposal and Cost Management:
      • Finalize proposals with a complete cost analysis to ensure competitive and accurate project bids.
      • Conduct detailed reviews of drawings for material and quantity takeoffs.
    2. Project Coordination:
      • Coordinate all project phases, from bidding to final deliverable, ensuring all milestones are met.
      • Create and submit change orders when there is a change in the work scope.
    3. Subcontractor and Supplier Coordination:
      • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to fulfill project needs and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
    4. Project Documentation and Reporting:
      • Maintain comprehensive project files, including progress reports, budgets, and milestones.
      • Draft and submit detailed reports on findings and project progress.
    5. Client and Team Communication:
      • Communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and clients to maintain positive relationships and meet project requirements.
    6. Quality Control and Safety:
      • Oversee contractors to ensure projects are constructed safely and meet specified quality standards.
      • Inspect reinforced concrete structures, steel structures, paving, and earthwork to ensure compliance with project specifications.
    7. Interdisciplinary Coordination:
      • Coordinate projects between contractors, operations, maintenance, and other disciplines in the field to ensure seamless project execution.
    8. Material Management:
      • Review drawings for material takeoffs and issue purchase requests as necessary.
    9. Construction Supervision:
      • Supervise and monitor the construction progress of both brownfield and greenfield projects to ensure timelines and quality standards are met.
    10. Compliance and Policy Implementation:
      • Adhere to and implement all procedures and policies, particularly in a petrochemical facility setting.
    11. Design Support:
      • Provide design support to address existing unseen obstructions and field conditions.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction project management.
    • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost analysis.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Familiarity with TXDOT is highly preferred
