REPORTS TO:

Security Manager

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the security and safety of the shipyard premises. Monitor the front gate and access points around the shipyard.

HOURS:

12:
30PM TO 8:
30PM

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & TASKS:

Patrol buildings, grounds, and perimeters of the shipyard via golf cart or on foot.
Investigate suspicious activities and disturbances.
Immediately report security breaches to designated law enforcement agents.
Prevent illegal or inappropriate actions by maintaining a high visibility presence.
Informing personnel and visitors of security procedures.

Requirements:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

All types of physical movement required for this position to successfully perform the essential functions.

Ability to move around the shipyard in heat, inclement weather, and cold.
Ability to use a golf cart or walk around perimeter on foot.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Normal level of visual acuity needed. Must be able to understand and follow directions. Normal hearing level needed. Hand-eye coordination required.

HAZARDS:

Weather, fumes, moving mechanical parts, equipment, and vibration.
