- Administers all required vaccines/TST's/drug screening and other screenings according to Wilson Medical Center policies and regulatory requirements.
- Reviews and approves medical clearance/fit for duty for return to work in accordance with provider instruction, policy and procedure, and regulatory compliance.
- Administers first aid to employees injured on the job and assesses/determines the need for further treatment.
- Provides follow-up nursing assessment and care for employee illness and injury.
- Administers the Worker's Compensation program in accordance with WMC and LifePoint policies.
- Keep accurate and timely documentation updated in the EHR.
- Submits electronic WC claims within the established timeframe.
- Investigates accidents and injuries and works with leadership to determine action plans for further mitigation.
- Provides general nursing care to employees (i.e. BP/BS checks/allergy injections, etc.)
- Collaborates with the EH Medical Director and follows standing orders as approved by the Medical Director.
- Plans, coordinates, administers, evaluates, and reports the annual Flu Vaccine/TST clinics.
- Keeps OSHA log updated.
- Immediately report any serious employee injury to OSHA in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Treats needlesticks/sharps injuries according to protocol.
- Administers the exposure protocol.
