Description

The Asante Library would like to find our next team member. This person should be passionate about library resources, programming, and community engagement. We are looking for someone to deliver exceptional customer service, be a team player, and have excellent communication skills.

The person needs to have a positive personality, be a self-starter and the ability to think outside the box.

SUMMARY

Incumbents provide customer service to library patrons and may include providing reference services using online catalog and databases, collection development and maintenance, bibliographic and technological instruction, library programming or managing library technical services.

Serves on committees, assists with special functions and events, assists at the service desk and coordinates assignments with volunteers.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Master's degree in Library Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited college or university and a minimum of three years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License.

SELECTION PROCESS
