JOB DETAILS:

Location In-Shop
Schedule Standard work schedule to be provided by leader.
Salary Range $ $23.30 Per Hour


JOB SUMMARY:

Pick up and deliver inventory/attachments, parts, tooling and safety items to field technicians and clients at jobsites. Check in with dispatcher/supervisor to make all delivery runs as scheduled. Maintain and operate delivery vehicles in a safe and considerate manner. Comply with all traffic laws and regulations. Operate equipment to remove and install attachments at jobsites. Maintain/organize Inventory at store locations/client jobsites to meet established requirements. Maintain Empire's integrity and ethical standards.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Acknowledges clients. Demonstrates superior client relations and interdepartmental cooperation skills.
  • Maintains assigned company vehicle(s) including pre and post inspection reports.
  • Makes scheduled inventory runs and delivers all items to their proper destinations. Distributes attachments, tooling, parts and safety items to field technicians and clients.
  • Delivers and receives inventory from/to clients in a timely manner.
  • Operates vehicles in a safe and legal manner.
  • Makes pickups and drops at various locations as assigned by the Dispatcher/Supervisor. Operates forklifts and equipment/machinery. Maintains state and federal training certificates for mine safety and sitespecific training.
  • Receives/drops off inventory, credit return parts and exchange cores from client's and field technicians.
  • Assists in loading or unloading inventory/attachments. Ensures all loads are properly prepared, loaded and secured to avoid shifting, loosening, or falling while in route.
  • Works safely at all times. Adheres to all applicable safety policies. Complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Maintains company equipment by checking fuel, oil, water, tires etc. on truck and equipment before starting.
All equipment is kept clean and maintained. Reports hauling equipment operation trouble to Supervisor immediately.

  • Keeps driver license current. Notifies supervisor of any driver license problems within one day.
  • Ensures all required paperwork is properly completed within applicable time deadlines.
  • Inputs data and information into Empire systems in a timely manner.
  • Works extra hours and scheduled days off up to the limit permissible when requested by supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Must have interpersonal skills to efficiently assist clients and employees in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Organizational skills sufficient to arrange trucks and Inventory in the yard to maximize efficient use of space and operate safely.
  • Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies and use of all required safety equipment.
  • Ability to maintain consistent attendance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Proof of current valid driver's license. Clean and current driving and safety record for the past 12 months.
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
