The language of drawings

Using CAD programs, you create drawings and other representations and parts lists for mechanical engineering. You produce construction and assembly plans according to specifications or design them yourself. Due to the variety of products, you deal with a multitude of different and new components. You also create exploded drawings for assembly or product descriptions, which illustrate to technicians or customers how a device is built in an understandable way. Your work serves as a blueprint for your colleagues' work.

You are suitable for this profession if you...

have a good spatial imagination
have drawing talent and computational skills
enjoy working on the computer

Training check:

Educational qualification: Qualifying secondary school leaving certificate or intermediate school leaving certificate

Training duration: 3 1/2 years

Area of application: Design office

Vocational school: Straubing block instruction
