    The Product Manager role will play a key role in our fast-paced Mobile Solutions Aftermarket team.

    This critical role is the central hub for leadership of the US & Canada Air Products catalog offering focusing on market needs and business growth objectives.

    This position will work across Donaldson's organization from Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, and Executive Leadership.

    The right candidate will possess the skills to operate at the strategic planning level as well as support tactical execution to deliver business results.

    Role Responsibilities:
    Manage product lines by evaluation for consolidation/rationalization, cost reduction initiatives and process improvement support.
    Monitors proposed new products to ensure they meet product line strategies and minimize proliferation of current product offerings.

    Keeps abreast of competitive products, market trends and perception of assigned products by the marketplace to affect pricing decisions/changes to maintain profitability and market share.

    Provides a communication channel between domestic production facilities as well as foreign entity engineering and manufacturing to assist in product line decisions and new product introductions.

    Develops product strategies and plans for assigned products within product business unit which address status of product and work with Pricing and Marketing groups to ensure products are positioned in marketplace for optimal margins and share.

    Leads and a supports new product launches, including recommendations to Pricing, Marketing and Legal groups to ensure appropriate product position, profitability and intellectual property protection.

    Leads margin improvement teams to support corporate cost and profitability objectives. Periodically reviews assigned products and recommends substitutions of higher volume and margin products for low volume and margin items.
    Replaces obsolete produce lines when necessary.
    Assignments may cross product business units


    TRAVEL:
    Up to 20%


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field
    5+ years of related direct work experience in product engineering, marketing, manufacturing, or sales
    Experience in New Product Development and Product Introduction
    Proven success initiatives which improve profitability to reach established targets


    Preferred Qualifications :
    MBA or advanced degree in Business or Engineering.

    Ability to:
    Partner and collaborate across all levels of the organization in a global, matrixed environment
    Work under minimal direction
    Navigate thru ambiguity and bring forward innovative solutions
    Direct work experience building strong customer and vendor relationships
