COMPENSATION:
$60,000 - $65,000

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs and financial needs of AAFE.
- Gather information and resources needed to write competitive proposals for a variety of grant and funding opportunities based on AAFE's requirements.
- Research grant opportunities from government and nongovernment agencies.
- Submit proposals to the Executive Director or respective Managing Director for review.
- Maintain a grants calendar to monitor progress.
- Communicate with potential donors and institutional donors.
- Write sponsorship packages.
- Identify new funding opportunities.
- Review budget proposals with senior team leaders
- Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals.
- Maintain positive relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, organizational management, related field or experience equivalent.
- 23 years grant writing, technical writing, or proposal writing experience
- 23 years of experience in a nonprofit or human services environment required.
- Personal leadership within a team environment multitasker, selfmotivated and takes initiative, shares credit and takes responsibility for actions.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with timely and consistent attention to detail and to follow up.
- Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
- Strong analytical, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to present information to a diverse client base
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials and information
