- Reviewing subrecipient grant files, tracking expenditures and processing invoices.
- Assisting with writing new Requests for Proposals.
- Working with contracts and memorandums of agreement, including new agreements.
- Providing information and assistance to subrecipients, vendors, and staff.
- Verifying documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitoring budget balances.
- Assisting with federal grant fund drawdowns.

The Maine Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Highway Safety is looking for a detail-oriented individual willing to learn a job that performs many different administrative functions.
This position is responsible for providing limited accounting activities such as processing and tracking invoices; assisting in federal drawdown of grant funds; federal and state expenditure reporting; negotiating, creating, and monitoring contracts, grants, and other purchases of goods and service agreements.
The ability to prioritize work, track progress, meet deadlines, and perform timely follow-up is critical.You will thrive in a collaborative environment where you can work under limited supervision yet be part of a larger team striving to meet the needs of our sub-recipients.
On-the-job training is expected. There may be the opportunity for some telework privileges after the orientation and training period has concluded.Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
