Responsibilities:


  • An Account Supervisor is responsible for managing their project teams' performance as it relates to client service and quality control. They understand Edelman's various processes, approaches, and capabilities, and be able to recommend appropriate tactics to clients and lead teams on project implementation.

Expected competencies include:

  • Play a major role in driving the research, planning, and development and execution of comprehensive public relations campaigns, working with Edelman's specialists as part of integrated team.
  • Serve as daily client contact and as client lead when appropriate.
  • Serve as interagency lead contact, working with other agencies on behalf of client, when appropriate.
  • Oversee quality and operational performance of accounts, ensuring work quality and deadline adherence.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in writing skills to craft internal and client correspondence, communications plans, press materials, new business proposals, etc.
  • Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving outreach plans, message development, management of events, coordination of media familiarization trips, effective pitching, and training of spokespersons on speeches and presentations and growth of contact network.
  • Oversee junior staff's work products to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Help mentor, coach and support team members and ensure you and your staff are constantly developing abilities through Edelman University and other training, including onthejob training and mentoring.
  • Build network of industry clients and participate in relevant professional organizations and networking activities that will grow Edelman brand recognition and your own reputation.
  • Contribute to new business process, including identifying new business opportunities.
  • Participate in crosspractice and crossgeographical teams to provide clients and prospects with the most compelling team and proposal.
  • Manage daytoday client budget issues to resolution. Manage process of developing client scope of work document, with support from finance and project management.

Basic Qualifications:


  • At least four years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, media, and publishing; preferably in an agency setting.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • A bachelor's degree in a related field and a proven ability to manage large projects as well as small teams on one or more sizable accounts.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem solver with the ability to nimbly adapt to changes in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to perform stellar work under pressure, think ten steps ahead, be a team player and effectively motivate and manage junior staff to you.
  • Strong commitment to client excellence, attention to detail and highquality deliverables.
  • A comprehensive understanding of clients' businesses and their missions, as well as their key stakeholders: consumers, employees, investors, regulators, media, vendors, partners, and other businesses/organizations, etc., and will be able to impart this knowledge to account team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and a demonstrated ability to delegate tactical assignments and accurately judge and edit the work of others.
  • The ability to work with senior staff to develop and execute communications plans based on client goals.
  • Familiar with best practice communications tactics and public relations tools and will be able to recommend them to clients.
  • Past agency experience managing clients and teams, overseeing budgets and staffing, collaborating across disciplines/geographies, and is comfortable with tight timelines.
$67,000 - $94,000 a year

  • An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenuebased metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and regionspecific benefits.
