    Description

    Job Description BlueWave is hiring a Director of Engineering for an engineering client with headquarters in Baltimore, MD, The Director of Engineering is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Engineering division.


    Advise leadership on necessary resource planning requirements, hiring, and equipment acquisition
    Manage overall departmental budget and forecast financial profit/ liabilities with the Vice President, Operations
    Oversee project budgets and engage in cost management strategies during R&D and production phases
    Communicate technical information in regard to specific projects and general departmental operations to non-technical stakeholders
    This includes but is not limited to executive leadership and clients

    Organize, plan, and document department processes and procedures
    Oversee multiple projects in different phases concurrently while assisting the engineering team to ensure deadlines are met or flag issues to leadership/ client teams
    Bachelor of Science in Engineering
    Minimum of 8 years of experience working in engineering for manufacture
    Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a team
    Able to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment on projects with short lifecycles
    Previous experience with project and product management
    Ability to view a problem from multiple angles and understand the issues while utilizing critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
    Good understanding of live events, entertainment, and themed entertainment industries Excellent budgetary management skills
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management
    Experience with Solidworks
