Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a
Supply Chain Planning Specialist to support the Advanced Tactical Programs within the Tactical Fighters Business Unit.

They will also support the supplier Production Readiness Reviews visits per year).

Responsibilities would include, but not be limited to:

  • Define and develops material strategy.
  • Be responsible for the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; plans inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and roughcut capacity for all products.
  • Participate in make/buy process, longterm capacity and resource planning; product phasein/phaseout, manufacturing rampup, endoflife management and productline management.
  • Analyze and aggregates supply / demand requirements. Analyzes purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools.
  • Plan inventory levels based on dependent and independent BillofMaterials (BOM) requirements.
  • Assess roughcut capacity for current and shortterm manufacturing requirements.
  • Create/reduce supply requirements based on inventory adjustments. Participates in longterm capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phaseins as well as existing product line phaseouts. Interfaces with Source process area regarding inventory levels, working capital and other areas as needed.
  • Create/release requisitions. Receives/reviews requirements for nonstandard parts.
  • Analyze lead times and identifies critical path procurements.
  • This is a Band 2 position and will be located in Linthicum, MD. This role is a hybrid role requiring two (2) days in the NGC office and travel._

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 3 years (1+ Years with Master's) of supply chain, program management, and/or business management experience
  • US citizen with the ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles, or experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, with expertise in excel
  • Proficiency in SAP

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain or business management
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience with earned value management.
  • Demonstrated experience in large electronics production programs.
  • Current DoD Secret or higher security clearance

Salary Range:
$68,800 - $103,200

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
