The Masters Program Administrator is responsible for all activities related to the Boston University Biomedical Engineering (BU-BME) masters programs.

Boston University is an internationally recognized institution of higher education and one of the largest independent universities in the United States.

Founded in 1869, it is considered to be one of the nations premier research institutions and teaching hospitals. The BU-BME Department is among the largest of its kind in the country. Founded in 1966, the Biomedical Engineering Department was among the first to offer a bachelors degree in the field.

Today, we offer a full suite of undergraduate and graduate degrees and are consistently ranked among the top BME departments in the nation.

We are educating a diverse student population to address a diverse set of biomedical engineering challenges.

This position works to ensure the smooth functioning of the masters programs and adherence to College and University policies and procedures.

The administrator functions as the primary liaison between faculty, prospective and current students as well as the central administration to provide effective and efficient administrative support.

Required Skills:


  • A cover letter is required for consideration._
  • Bachelor's degree is required and one to three years of meaningful experience
  • Excellent communicator, including ability to write well and to optimally and respectfully handle various constituencies
  • Organization, attention to detail, multitasking and excellent social skills are required.
  • Should be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and general office administration.
