The Village of Excellence Academy employs professionals who will work beyond the job description to meet the goal of developing self-disciplined students who achieve high academic standards in a safe, caring learning environment.
The elementary teacher is responsible for the education of each pupil in his or her charge and for working with students, parents, other teachers and staff toward achieving the goals set forth in the Village of Excellence Academy mission statement.
The Village of Excellence Academy employs a "departmentalize" framework, which allows teachers to work as experts in the fields of language arts and social studies as well as mathematics and science.
Minimum qualifications:
- Prefer at least 2 years elementary classroom teaching experience;
- Demonstrated experience working with challenging groups in a studentcentered environment with varied approaches to meeting student needs;
- Demonstrated initiative and skills in the following areas: relationship and community building, classroom management, communication, conflict resolution, creativity, problem solving, decision making and time management.

$40, $45,000.00
Certified:
$47,500.00
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Utilize effective communication skills to interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Utilize classroom experience to effectively address behavioral issues and promote a respectful and inclusive classroom culture.
- Incorporate relevant skills such as tutoring and working with children to provide individualized support to students as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and support the school's mission and goals.
- Stay updated on best practices in education and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning outcomes.
Pay:
$44, $47,500.00 per year
