Overview:

PURPOSE:

To insure proper equipment control and operation as needed in accordance with production of raw material needs. Maintain product rotation from bulk storage rooms.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

Control product flow all at critical points throughout the facility.
Control product that is being moved in and out of storage.
Prepare equipment for startup.
Ensure all equipment and personnel are operating safely.
Report all defective processing equipment to the supervisor.
Other duties assigned by the supervisor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to move in food processing facilities (sometimes through narrow passages, in wet areas, or on elevated platforms). Ability to operate a 2" water hose under pressure (approx. 60 psi). Ability to continuously work with product and equipment at ground level. Ability to inspect equipment and product. Ability to work in bulk storage rooms.

Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100° to 110° F and as cold as -20° F to 32° F).

Must be able to move items weighing up to 80 lbs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have knowledge of electronic control panels and other related equipment.
Ability to grasp a 2" water hose under pressure (aprox. 60 P.S.I.).
Ability to receive and follow directions.
Must follow all company (GMPs) Good Manufacturing Practices and special product handling requirements in the area.
Must follow all safety company policies and procedures.
May be required to work overtime or Saturdays depending on business need.
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean DMV driving record.
Must pass preplacement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.
