Role Summary:

At King's College School, Panama, we deliver a top-tier international education that nurtures creative and dynamic individuals who actively engage in learning. Following the Three Pillars approach to education - Academics, Sports, and Creative & Performing Arts, we offer a comprehensive curriculum for all students. Our focus is on empowering students to excel and immerse themselves in a wide range of activities, both academic and extracurricular.

As pioneers of British education in the region, we are dedicated to providing exemplary education to our diverse and inclusive community of over 450 students, aged 2 to 18, representing 40 nationalities.

We are currently looking for a proactive and passionate Computer Science Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in computer science and a drive to inspire students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills through coding and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive computer science curriculum.
Teach various computer science courses.
Use diverse instructional strategies to engage students and create an inclusive learning environment.
Incorporate technology into lessons for enhanced learning experiences.
Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and exams, offering timely feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and school-wide initiatives.
Stay informed on the latest trends in computer science education.
Engage in professional development for continuous improvement.
Support extracurricular activities like coding clubs to enhance student engagement.
Maintain accurate student records and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Valid teaching certification.
Experience in teaching computer science at school level.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
