We
WELCOME applicants with previous experience in other fields such as retail, food service, or any other customer-focused industry.
Our optometry office needs an outstanding compassionate person with a strong customer service background and desire to make our patients so happy that they can't help but tell their friends how well they were treated.
We specialize in custom lenses that help improve the lives of kids, patients with degenerative eye diseases, and patients with eye strain and migraines.
We love that we can make a difference in our patients' lives and strive to provide them with a memorable positive experience.
We will train the necessary eye care skills if you already have the customer service experience or desire to make people think they are not at a doctor's office, but at Disneyland or a guest at a 5-star hotel.
What you'll do:
- Obsess about giving an engaging, enthusiastic, and memorable experience for everyone who walks through the door from start to finish
- Helping train kids to wear specialty contacts so that we can improve their vision and slow down the worsening of their prescription
- Obtaining scans and verifying accuracy to help create custom lenses for adults with degenerative eye conditions
- Provide style consulting and help customers choose the best glasses for their personal style, face type, and lifestyle so awesome their friends will ask "where'd you get those?"
- Make customers feel like guests in our home
- Verify that finished eyewear meets optical standards and patient's requirements/requests
- Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge and accurately describe the features and benefits of various lenses and our frames
- Checkin patients and perform preliminary eye tests
- Answer phones, verify insurance eligibility, and book appointments
Who you are:
- Great at communicating clearly and effectively
- A person that can work with numbers since you will be helping patients understand their copays and insurance benefits and will need to correctly calculate costs for glasses.
- Able to project a professional, fashionforward image
- Selfstarter with energy to spare
- Detailoriented to the point of neuroticism
- Cool under pressure and capable of juggling a diverse set of responsibilities (including completing multiple assignments and handling a slew of customers vying for every drop of your priceless attention)
Other details:
- Be able to work full days (9:25 am 6:30 pm) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Thursdays half days (9:25 am 2:30 pm) with availability to work full days on Thursdays if necessary.

Pay:
$ $20.00 per hour
