Job Position: Psychiatrist

Job Summary:
The University of Maryland (UMD), University Health Center (UHC) is searching for a dedicated full-time psychiatrist to provide direct care to a diverse student patient population. If you are passionate about conducting psychiatric evaluations, intake assessments, medication management, therapy, and collaborative work with other departments, this role might be perfect for you. The psychiatrist will collaborate with various UHC departments to offer comprehensive care to students.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct psychiatric services to UMD students including assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing management of mental health conditions.
Offer urgent evaluations and supervise professional staff as necessary.
Participate in designated Health Center Committees and campus activities.
Undertake other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements:
Education:

M.D./D.O. from accredited Medical School.
Residency and post-graduate training from accredited American programs.

Experience:

Completion of an accredited residency program with additional post-residency experience.
Licensed to practice psychiatry in Maryland.
Experience working with college students in mental health.

Skills:

Experience with a college student population preferred.
Commitment to engaging with diverse populations.
Commitment to ongoing multicultural competence development.

Certifications:

Board Certified or Board Eligible.
Licensed to practice psychiatry in Maryland.
