Description
Job Summary:
The Chief Information Officer will develop, plan, and implement an information technology (IT) strategy that meets the company's business needs, delivers optimal return on investment, and maintains utmost security.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provides near and long-term planning in support and infrastructure that directly correlates to the business needs and goals.
Create, Maintain and Govern the IT Department Budget including Operating Expenses and Capital Spending.
Work as a liaison between the business process owners and technical support teams internal and third-party.
Working with the IT Operations Manager, ensure that infrastructure is redundant, secure and in a high availability status.
Mentor and coach IT Team.
Assist in projects tangential to the IT Department.
Plan, Review and final approval on IT support applications and tools.
Plan, Review and guide the approval process for Hardware/Software selected for specific department's needs.
Strategic planning that includes plans for legacy systems support/sunset, immediate requirements for support and future state development/infrastructure to support the business's future endeavors.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Technology preferred
Manufacturing experience preferred
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Excellent ability to conceptualize long-term business goals and develop orderly processes to accomplish those goals
Excellent managerial skills
Thorough understanding of information technology and information technology systems
The position requires travel one week a month.
