Responsibilities

  • In coordination with the federal government relations team, develop and implement consistent and proactive engagement strategies to advance McDonald's priorities with U.S. foreign policy government officials, diplomats, and thirdparty stakeholders.
  • Maintain and develop sophisticated foreign policy, diplomatic community, and external stakeholder's network.
  • Monitor policy developments, assess business and reputational impact, provide timely analysis and recommendations to internal stakeholders, and develop appropriate activities and responses.
  • Represent the company at relevant conferences, forums, and public events.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in International Relations, International Development, Political Science, Public Policy or related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in government and/or private sector.
  • Strong foreign policy and diplomatic community network.
  • Practical understanding of international government structures, policy development processes, and cultures.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, broad perspective, problemsolving, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to execute strategy in a fastpaced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously to deliver tangible results.
  • Familiarity with complex business functions, franchise business model, relevant issue areas, and key stakeholders is strongly preferred.
