PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


This position requires Laborer skills required to assist the construction crews in various types of projects, experience working on a roadway construction is required.

Work may include sweeping, raking, shoveling, tamping, mixing and movement of bagged cement, bricks, blocks, signs, barrels and formwork.


PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Labor requirements used in support of paving and construction.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have 5 years' experience in roadway construction.
  • Ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform all job duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ability to perform work in daytime and nighttime conditions
  • Must have OSHA 10
  • Experience with Traffic Patterns, Pipe work, Asphalt or Grades a plus

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT


Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and construction areas as outlined by OSHA and state agencies.


Protective equipment that is required for this position:

Hardhat, safety glasses, reinforced toed shoes, hand protection, safety vest/high visibility clothing for any work in the field, and hearing protection.
