    Job Summary:

    Perform basic shipping and receiving operations including loading and unloading, business system transactions, and generating paperwork.

    Responsibilities:


    • Reviews sales order shipping report and picks product from finished goods to ship for the day
    • Preps shipments, requests any necessary CoC from quality, and transacts shipment with MRP system
    • Schedules shipments on courier sites to ensure order pickup and delivery to customer on time
    • Updates shipping information within inner company portals and provides customer service rep with shipping information for external customer portal updates
    • Assists customer service representatives with order status inquiries and special customer needs
    • Works with production planner and purchasing agent to coordinate and expedite outside service pickups and deliveries
    • Performs receiving functions, verifies the receipt qty's for incoming materials and receives purchase orders within MRP system
    • Verifies the physical receipt qty's against packing slips for incoming materials and receives purchase orders within MRP system, assigning lot control attributes as required
    • Appropriately labels and transfers all received inventory packages/pallets and transfers received inventory to QC inspection, primary bin location or purchase requestor bins
    • Checks Inspection approved area, re-seals materials, and physically transfers materials to assigned location when applicable and assigns bin location within MRP
    • Loads and unloads trucks for shipping and receiving product
    • Performs other related duties as needed; packaging, cycle counting, and unplanned material request processing
    • Assists with material handling duties as necessary
    Competencies:


    • Ability to assist with and solve practical problems with support
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
    • Ability to follow direct instructions and handle paperwork to properly record and process shipping and receiving activities
    • Must possess basic understanding of shipping and receiving process flow, documentation needs and ERP business system transactions
    • Able to operate material handling equipment in a safe manner
