Leveraging your growing professional network across the company, you will work with business and technical leaders who are seeking new concepts to create and execute targeted idea campaigns to capture and evaluate the best ideas of our employees.

You will become a core member of the Empower Innovation team working closely with both the Director of Empower to refine our strategy, as well as the Empower Program Manager to ensure funded ideas transition successfully into the project execution phase.

In essence, you will own and scale the "Empower new business front-end" to ensure the program is consistently capturing and reviewing our employee's best ideas.

This Strategy & Planning-based position has primary roles and responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

REFINE STRATEGY &

GROWTH:

Working with the Director of Empower to refine our strategy to ensure the Empower team is focused on capturing and supporting the most meaningful innovation and continuous improvement ideas that are relevant to our business, can be readily matured and tested, and then be transitioned back into the business.

You will also be responsible to helping to grow the reach and influence of Empower.

CREATE &

EXECUTE NEW IDEA CAMPAIGNS:

Creating and executing multiple strategic idea campaigns to ensure we are capturing, reviewing, and supporting our employee's best ideas.

This includes leveraging our idea management platform to conduct targeted idea campaigns to solve critical business issues. As the campaign manager, you will work with executive sponsors to create a campaign challenge statement. Then you will launch the campaign to crowd source ideas from a BAE Systems' employees.

This includes working with business and functional leaders to understand their "jobs to be done", and then using the idea campaign mechanism to capture and technically evaluate potential solutions.

Idea campaigns generally result with a set of ideas selected for maturation and funding.

SUPPORT TRANSITION FROM IDEA SELECTION TO PROJECT EXECUTION: Collaborating with the Empower Program Manager, to set up and execute new idea campaigns in our Hype platform, ensuring effective evaluation of potential ideas, and working to ensure selected ideas successfully transition to the execution phase (where they will be managed by the Empower PM).

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Minimum of a Bachelor's of Science in an Engineering Descipline

8+ Years Experience Working With Emerging Technologies

8+ Years Working Within A Collaborative Team Environment

Ability to Collaboratively Mature the Ideas and Concepts of Others

Ability to Work Independently/Productively In Remote Environment

Exceptional Written and Verbal Communication Skills

Familiarity With BAE Systems ES Business Areas and Products

Ability to Build & Maintain Trust Relationships With Stakeholders

Demonstrated Energy & Curiosity

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range:
$ $239140
