- Define and implement technology and platform roadmaps for a growing range of hardware and software platforms and products including low-power wireless SoCs, advanced wireless controllers, sensors, thermostats, and newer hardware products, all supported by expanding cloud services
- Collaborate with global commercial teams and strategic customers to identify common consumer and industry needs
- Lead multiple cross-departmental, multi-regional designs from concept to realization
- Evaluate emerging technologies and solutions to shape technology roadmaps
- Create innovative solutions integrating advanced communication and navigation tech for a connected home ecosystem
- Engage with technology partners and customers to discuss new technologies and approaches
- Establish strategic customer & vendor relationships
- Articulate key benefits and tradeoffs of various technology platforms
- Develop product specification documents for sales purposes
- Collaborate with Cost Management Engineering on unit costing and work with Sales on pricing
- Define detailed product features, functions, and requirements
- Oversee Engineering and Project/Product Management in initial phases
- Travel with Sales to strategic customers in pre-production phase to support the technical sale of the product
- Train global Application Engineering team on technology solutions
- Support technology introductions and new product launches at global trade events
- Self-motivated, a Leader, Innovative, and results-driven
- Extensive experience in Software design and Embedded Wireless System design
- Ownership of full product life-cycle from concept to production
- Passion for Consumer Electronics and Human-Machine Interactions
- Familiarity with various wireless communication standards
- Expertise designing high-volume IoT applications
- Experience with recognition technologies and devices such as voice processing and image recognition
- Comfortable with C-level interactions
- Skills in Algorithm Development, Optimization, Wireless Communication Protocols, and more
- MSc & 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

The Principal Architect is tasked with translating consumer needs into new smart home product categories that seamlessly blend hardware and software services in a connected product. This role involves end-to-end ownership of product definition, architecture, and leading successful implementations to convert customer needs into innovative solutions that UEI can provide.
