Salary:
$85,000 - $90,000 per annum pro rata, depending on level of experience


Flexible working:
We offer a fully flexible working environment


Annual leave: 14 days of annual leave per annum, plus 3 additional days over Christmas


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Partnerships Director to join our non-profit organization in the US, to make a significant impact in our local community and beyond.


Common Purpose is a non-profit organization founded on strong social purpose and we live this continuously through our work - developing leaders who can cross cultural, institutional, and social boundaries, all so that people can work better together and make a difference in their worlds.

The Partnerships Director will work independently and play a crucial role in driving the organization's success by building and managing strategic alliances that contribute to growth and overall business objectives, with a deep focus on philanthropic and corporate business development opportunities.


Responsibilities

  • Create and execute a clear and actionable longterm and shortterm comprehensive strategy to make significant and measurable progress toward achieving Common Purpose's vision and sustainability in the US while exploring new and innovative solutions to effectively serve our customers.
  • Secure new business from a diverse range of new and existing partners in the US by building relationships at a senior level, both drawing on your own networks and using existing networks to reach the right people.
  • Build sustainable sales pipelines and run effective sales campaigns that contribute to overall income targets.
  • Manage existing partners, working with them to plan programs and continuing to nurture relationships.
  • Manage our current grant portfolio in country, as ell as secure new grant opportunities.
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive partnerships strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Identify potential partners that align with the company's values, mission, and strategic priorities.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to broaden our reach and brand awareness with new customers, in turn finding ways to add value to what we do with and for buyers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, product development, and finance, to ensure alignment and effective implementation of partnership initiatives.
  • Communicate the value proposition of partnerships to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the Common Purpose image is high profile, independent and professional.
  • Invest in our local and global social capital by identifying brilliant and challenging contributors for our leadership development programs.
  • Keep our alumni communities involved and updated on what's happening in Common Purpose in the US.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments that may impact partnership opportunities.

Requirements:


  • Understanding of how global foundations and corporate learning works in the US context.
  • Experience of working in an incomegenerating business development role.
  • Experience building relationships across all levels of seniority in an institution or organization and creating solutions centred on the key issues those leaders face.
  • Working in a remote/dispersed role.
