    We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join our Development organization. In this position, you will play a key role in the overall success of our organization by planning, managing, and monitoring engineering functions. You will be responsible for overseeing various engineering projects, processes, and timelines and making any necessary adjustments in order to ensure successful completion.

    Your day to day
    • Serve as the engineering leader and own end to end technical solutions
    • Answer questions and resolve issues brought forth by the engineering team members
    • Create detailed engineering plans, processes, and procedures for engineering staff to use and abide by
    • Ability to get into the guts of any technical issues that the team encounters
    • Check and confirm the accuracy of the work performed and the methods used by engineering staff
    • Monitor and determine various staffing and training needs
    • Hire, train, and supervise engineering staff members
    • Spearhead various research and development initiatives to identify opportunities for new technologies and improved processes
    • Ability to balance technology debts with developing new features
    • Work collaboratively with the development team to set priorities and iteratively deliver through an agile methodology
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    What you bring to the team
    • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related fields
    • 8+ years of hands-on development experience with Ruby, JAVA or C#
    • 2+ years of experience managing a software development team
    • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills; experience with multithreaded applications or REST APIs a plus
    • Effective communication with internal teams as well as external customers
    • Hands-on experience with CI/CD preferred
    • Leadership skills necessary to manage and develop a team
    • Organizational competencies and project management skills to keep projects, processes, and the entire engineering team on track
    • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment
    • Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience
    • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
    • Continuous learner, who learns new technologies and techniques independently

The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be eligible for variable pay and/or equity.     Base Pay Ranges:

    SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:
    Base Pay Range: 177, ,700.00 USD

    California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:
    Base Pay Range: 142, ,660.00 USD

    All other cities and states excluding those listed above:
    Base Pay Range: 129, ,300.00 USD
