Summary

The Education Coordinator is responsible for providing guidance and assistance in several facets of the creation of curriculum; including resource acquisition, coaching, and instructional support.

Essential Functions:

Provides guidance in development of curriculum.
Assists in identifying and acquiring lesson resources.
Observes and coaches Group Leader professionals in establishing best practices.
Collaborates with Director and school administration to identify appropriate themes and

objectives for educational content.

Aids staff in planning, writing and implementing highquality, contentrich lessons.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Education, Youth Development, or related field.
Strong experience with curriculum planning for young people (middle school).
Knowledge of youth development principles and theories.
Knowledge of Common Core Standards.
Experience coaching and training with strong leadership, conflict resolution and

diplomacy skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and multitask.

Qualifications Preferred:

Master's Degree in Education, Youth Development, or related field.
