Summary

The Education Coordinator is responsible for providing guidance and assistance in several facets of the creation of curriculum; including resource acquisition, coaching, and instructional support.


Essential Functions:


  • Provides guidance in development of curriculum.
  • Assists in identifying and acquiring lesson resources.
  • Observes and coaches Group Leader professionals in establishing best practices.
  • Collaborates with Director and school administration to identify appropriate themes and
objectives for educational content.

  • Aids staff in planning, writing and implementing highquality, contentrich lessons.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Youth Development, or related field.
  • Strong experience with curriculum planning for young people (middle school).
  • Knowledge of youth development principles and theories.
  • Knowledge of Common Core Standards.
  • Experience coaching and training with strong leadership, conflict resolution and
diplomacy skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
  • Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and multitask.

Qualifications Preferred:

Master's Degree in Education, Youth Development, or related field.
