Job Summary:
We are seeking a BILINGUAL in SPANISH skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support. This position requires strong knowledge of medical terminology, phlebotomy, laboratory techniques, and patient care.


Duties:


  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing medical supplies
  • Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
  • Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing
  • Perform basic laboratory techniques such as phlebotomy and specimen collection processing
  • Provide patient education on procedures, medications, and followup care
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures

Skills:


  • Proficient in medical terminology and documentation
  • Strong patient care skills with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages
  • Knowledge of vital signs measurement and interpretation
  • Familiarity with laboratory techniques and specimen collection processing
  • Understanding of anatomy and physiology
  • Ability to work effectively in a hospital or laboratory setting
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational skills

Requirements:


  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English
  • Use of EMR for charting
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus
