    Integrated Genetics, part of LabCorp's Specialty Testing Group, is currently in search of a Genomics Data Analyst Technologist to join the team of clinical laboratory professionals in Westborough, Massachusetts. The Data Analyst team focuses on analyzing data from clinical molecular laboratories in Research Triangle Park, NC, and Westborough, MA, specializing in sequencing data from next-generation, exome, and Sanger assays, as well as copy number data from MLPA and microarray. Collaboration with the laboratory and clinical directors ensures the delivery of high-quality results to patients.

    Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (possible rotating weekends)

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Review genomics data from NGS, Sanger, and MLPA assays to ensure high-quality molecular genetics testing
    • Provide accurate data analyses to clinical directors, with supporting documentation, and draft patient reports as required
    • Conduct QC and QA checks, adhere to SOPs, and maintain competency for quality assurance
    • Stay updated through continuing education to enhance expertise
    • Identify process improvements and communicate suggestions to the data analysis supervisor
    • Participate in troubleshooting, problem recognition, and escalation as needed
    • Complete assigned administrative tasks, including documentation, SOP maintenance, proficiency testing participation, and new test launch support
    • Ensure safety by wearing appropriate protective equipment in the laboratory
    • Comply with relevant regulations, health and safety policies, accrediting organizations' requirements, and local laws

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements
    • Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience
    • Preferred experience in molecular techniques like DNA extraction, PCR, sequencing, NGS, genotyping
    • Familiarity with sequence analysis software and prior sequence analysis experience is advantageous
    • ASCP or AMT certification is a plus
    • Strong knowledge of molecular genetics and general chemistry
    • Previous molecular biology lab exposure highly preferred
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Computer proficiency; familiarity with laboratory information systems is beneficial
    • Detail-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Pass a standardized color vision screen
    • Flexibility to work overtime or different shifts as needed
