- 2 years of experience as an Accountant performing analysis on financial reports. Experienced in monthend, quarterend, audit, journal entries, etc. Experience with reviewing and analyzing P&L Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required A Day in the Role: Compiles and analyzes financial information for the organization. Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Records journal entries, performs variance analysis and account reconciliations. Evaluates trends, identifies and investigates unusual or unexpected account variances Prepares management ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data Identifies financial variances by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts Ensures general ledger accounts are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
