The Marriott Orlando Downtown Hotel in Orlando, FL is searching for a Fresh Bites Room Server/ Busser to join our team.

Located in the Creative Village in downtown Orlando, the hotel has 297 guest rooms with views of the downtown Orlando Skyline.

This great full-service Marriott Hotel has 15 meeting rooms with 15,992 sq. ft of space, an onsite Starbucks, Shade Bar and Grill, Fitness Center, and Outdoor Pool.


Duties & Functions:


  • Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, and product availability.
  • Responsible for receiving orders, preparing orders and delivering items to guestrooms in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner.
  • Greet guests timely with a positive, outgoing welcome.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and serviceoriented manner.
  • Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
  • Deliver orders according to established standards
  • Deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and deliver amenities
  • Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials and upsell items to guests
  • Present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment.
  • Thank the guest and give a fond farewell.
  • Handle guest's complaints and communicate to management
  • Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc. Follow proper closing procedures, cleaning and stocking work stations, folding napkins and cleaning and setting tables.
  • Complete end of shift paperwork, get checked out my management.

Physical Tasks:


  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects in excess of 25 pounds with assistance.
  • Must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend, reach and kneel, and have the ability to lift and carry full trays frequently weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Desired Qualifications:


  • Previous Food and Beverage experience.
  • Previous Server position preferred
  • Must be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Excellent communication skills
