Dental Lab Technician - Wilmington, United States - Nemours
Description
TheDental Lab Technician is responsible for providing dental laboratory services as specified by attending dentist.
**Primary Responsibilities
- Fabricate dental removable appliances according to dentist's specifications both oral and written.
- Consult with dentist at patient visit to determine best patient treatment options; assist dentist in operatory with problem cases.
- Perform resets of dentures and partials while the patient waits to provide optimal patient satisfaction.
- Repair and /or reline full and partial dentures while the patient waits to alleviate return visits, including welding.
- Setup, invest, pack, process, finish and polish full and partial dentures, flippers, and night guards.
- Construct shims, mouth guards, temporary crowns, custom trays and bite rims.
- Wax up diagnostic crown and bridge cases; pour preliminary and final impressions.
- Order lab supplies and keep up inventory of teeth; organize lab cases for following day's appointments.
- Maintenance of all equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Dental Supervisor.
Qualifications
High School Diploma Required
At least 5 years of experience as a Dental Technician required (Must have dental lab experience)
Must have experience with setting and finishing full, partial and wrought wire partials.
