_ Overview:
_
We are currently looking for a qualified and experienced Payment Posting Specialist for our Central Business Office. This is a full-time day position working a Monday - Friday schedule. This position is located in our Gilbert Arizona office.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Identify and post accounts receivable payments and/or adjustments accurately to the appropriate accounts in practice management system.
  • Balance individual batches to banking documents by running indicated reports.
  • Perform proper arithmetic calculation when needed to distribute payments and/or adjustments to the proper accounts or line items analyzing EOB's to properly post payments.
  • Process approved refunds on credit balances or unapplied monies. Reallocate payments appropriately.
  • Identify payment or AR discrepancies and confer with internal or external parties to resolve.
  • Maintain appropriate documents, reports and files in order to comply with all applicable laws and policies.
  • Complete all daily, weekly and monthly checklists. Weekly reports to supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of chemotherapy related drugs, supplies utilized and SNF, LTC and Hospice in relation to insurance benefits.
  • Knowledge of governmental, legal and regulatory provisions related to collection activities.
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD10, HCPCS coding a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics
  • Accounting knowledge a must.

Education and Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 3 years in the healthcare reimbursement field.
