Job Description:


We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Program Administrator of Special Education Assessment to oversee and coordinate all assessment activities within our special education program.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient administration of assessments for students with special needs.

You will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to develop and implement assessment strategies that meet the unique needs of our special education students.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement assessment strategies and plans specifically designed for students with special needs, in alignment with program objectives and legal requirements.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and logistics of assessments, ensuring that they are conducted in a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with special education teachers, support staff, and other professionals to determine assessment needs and accommodations for students with diverse disabilities.
  • Design and develop assessment materials, including modified exam papers, alternative assessment methods, and individualized evaluation tools.
  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of assessment materials and results, adhering to all privacy regulations.
  • Coordinate the training and support of assessment personnel, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to effectively assess students with special needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of assessment processes and accommodations, making recommendations for improvement as necessary.
  • Analyze assessment data and generate reports to inform Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and provide insights for program improvement.
  • Stay updated on best practices, research, and legal requirements related to special education assessment.
  • Collaborate with other program coordinators and stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to special education assessment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Certification in Special Education or relevant field.
  • Proven experience in coordinating and administering assessments for students with special needs.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with a variety of assessment tools and accommodations for students with diverse disabilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in using technology for assessment administration and data analysis.
