Your tasks

As a medical assistant in Yarmouth, you will be the first point of contact for patients. This includes welcoming patients, collecting relevant patient data, and providing information about the organization of treatment processes. Daily outpatient management also includes phone calls with patients, as well as with health insurance companies, nursing services, or medical facilities in order to coordinate appointments, take prescription orders, or relay information to treating doctors. An important aspect of your training is learning medical documentation and billing for medical services. You will learn how to take blood samples and administer injections and medications to patients. In addition, you will complete cross-departmental internships in the areas of diagnostics (ECG, EEG, laboratory) and pharmacy. Outpatient management, such as practice organization and administration (orders or mail), will also be part of your daily routine. You will also participate in department and team meetings.
