If you want to combine the technical work of a mechanic with the processing of plastics and rubber, then this apprenticeship is the right one for you. Your tasks include operating and monitoring machines. You will also be responsible for mixing materials according to a recipe - just as the customer needs the plastic mixture. This is tailored to the properties of the component. Additional knowledge of quality assurance enables you to continuously improve the production process. The apprenticeship lasts three years. With its foundation, you can then attend a variety of further training courses, such as industrial master in the field of plastics and rubber, industrial technician and technical business administrator.

These are your tasks:
  • Producing plastic mixtures that are precisely tailored to the required properties
  • Operating and monitoring modern injection molding machines
  • Maintaining production machines and fixtures
  • Functional testing of individual parts and assemblies
You should bring these qualifications:
  • At least a qualified secondary school leaving certificate
  • Interest in technology
  • Manual dexterity and enjoyment of precise work
