The duties and responsibilities as an IT Cybersecurity Project Manager GS generally include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversight assessing, monitoring, and mitigating certain foreign and domestic supply chain risks to the Department.
  • Lead the implementation of security programs designed to anticipate, assess, and minimize system exploitation.
  • Develops and evaluates security policies, to include incident response, supply chain risks, contingency planning, and vulnerability management.
  • Integrates security programs across disciplines.
  • Implements higher level security requirements, such as those resulting from laws, regulations, or Presidential directives.
  • Identifies significant actual and potential cyber security problems, supply chain risks, trends, and weaknesses.
  • Recommends modifications and solutions for reducing IT security risks, supply chain risks, and helps develop strategies for responding to future IT security challenges and supply chain risks.
  • Develop innovative and unusual methods to collect cyber intelligence data and makes them usable in security operations and mitigating certain foreign and domestic supply chain risks.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging threats, techniques, tactics, and procedures of cyber intrusions.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance.
  • This position requires a Federal Acquisition Certificate for Contracting Officers Representative (FAC-COR) and/or Federal Acquisition Certificate for Program Manager (FAC-PM) Level III within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications:

Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade or equivalent pay band system in the Federal service.

  • At a minimum, specialized experience must be in or related to at least two of the following:
  • Research and analyze external products to determine their potential for meeting organizational standards and business needs and mitigate supply chain risks; and/or
  • Evaluate the extent of foreign involvement, foreign ownership, control, or influence (FOCI) in vendor companies, including shareho
