- Provides first-line technical support to internal users via phone, email and in person.
- Oversees the daily performance of computer systems.
- Deploys new and replacement equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software. Ensures end user satisfaction, accuracy, and timelines are all met.
- Collaborates with Rochester Help Desk staff to maintain asset tracking records/replacement schedules of desktops, laptops, monitors, and peripherals.
- Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
- Provides desktop, server, and network support (including, but not limited to administering and maintaining end user accounts, password resets/unlocks, and email setup and support)
- Assist with basic system administration tasks, including system monitoring, server backups and patch management.
- Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
- Perform remote and onsite scheduled maintenance (in Fort Lauderdale and Tampa) as needed.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications or virus protection software.
- Participate in other IT projects as assigned, such as software upgrades and system migrations.
- Assist the IT Manager in planning, coordinating, and implementing network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, business, or related field
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in supporting end users, networks, and infrastructure.
- Previous experience servicing and troubleshooting Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 products.
- Thorough understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and VLANs
- Proficiency with Windows 10/11 operating systems.
- Knowledge of Hyper-V, IP PBX and Dell laptops, Dell server and Dell storage hardware a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- Pleasant and professional demeanor in all client and internal communications.
- Time management skills: ability to effectively prioritize projects and tasks without impacting essential support to end users
- Intellectually resourceful with sound judgement and effective decision-making abilities.
- Independent worker and able to work effectively on daily tasks without direct supervision.
